Saturday morning, after watching a movie with my family, Hannah went with her cousins to see Santa. We hoped she would like him, seeing as how she is pretty obsessed with him and likes saying "oh, oh, oh" about all things Christmas. But she wasn't so sure about him...
Initially, Hannah happily waved at Santa from a distance. But then this is the cautious look she was giving him as we walked closer.
And this is the reaction we got as soon as she got within 10 feet of him. Poor Hannah!
I'm actually rather proud of her for not wanting to have anything to do with a strange old man. :)
Hannah was also terrified of these giant nutcrackers. I agree that they are a little creepy looking.
Saturday afternoon we went to the Festival of Trees, and then we had dinner at our favorite Chinese restaurant and did some shopping at the mall. On our way home, we picked out our Christmas tree. Later that night, we watched "It's a Wonderful Life" while we put up the tree and Scott put on the lights.
Hannah loved riding in her new, forward-facing car seat for the first time. She was in happy awe and kept saying "Wheeeee!" Way cute.
Hannah enjoyed looking around at all the trees and people, and she especially loved repeatedly walking right under the chains to try to touch the things that she was interested in.
We love that the Festival of Trees is a fun family tradition and that it is such a good cause.
And we love that Hannah didn't lose a shoe there this year. :)
We scored a great parking spot at the mall that I didn't know existed except at Babies R Us stores.
On Sunday, we watched the Christmas devotional with my parents and then went to the Festival of Lights in Spanish Fork (way better and cheaper than the lights at Thanksgiving Point). Hannah loved seeing the lights and had to do it "again." Too bad I didn't take any pics.
We finally finished decorating our tree yesterday. And we put up the rest of our Christmas decorations tonight (thanks to me finally finishing cleaning our home last night).
I love my bushy, white-lighted tree!
When we bought this piece of furniture, I was excited knowing that it would really come in handy for displaying Christmas decorations.
Scott finally put out his beloved manger scene.
The large Santa and angel in this picture are gifts we received when Hannah was born and still in the hospital.
It's a Christmas miracle that the chocolate orange in the bowl is only half-eaten after a couple of weeks. I blame pregnancy weirdness.
It feels so good to finally have everything clean and decorated for Christmas. I absolutely love the Christmas season!

Holy cow she looks so big and grown up in that Car seat! We did the Festival of Trees too, one of these years we should all go together. My family has always gone, but it definitely had extra meaning this year taking Logan.
