a perfect outing

We went on a pretty perfect family outing on Saturday. We wanted to use a gift card for the Cheesecake Factory that our friend Jen had given us for Christmas, and I needed to buy some MAC makeup (which I didn't realize moved to Macy's when Nordstrom left Orem--just figured that out today). Plus, we thought it would be great timing to see the tulips at Temple Square. So we headed up to Salt Lake on Saturday morning. The drive was perfect, parking was perfectly easy (and cheap), the weather was perfect, everywhere we went was perfectly un-crowded, the flowers were perfectly beautiful, and our girls were almost-perfectly behaved. :)

The proof is in the pics...

Silly sisters! This water fountain at City Creek was Hannah's favorite part of seeing the lights during Christmastime.

Such sweeties! They enjoyed watching the fountain together.

Hannah insisted on ordering a "hamburger," but then she took forever to eat just the meat in her sliders. Kooks.

Speaking of crazy. Maelie's favorite part of our entire outing was sucking the on the end of our table at the Cheesecake Factory. Nasty!!! We turned her high chair and pulled her away from the table, but in this pic you can see how hard she tried to reach it with her mouth again. Weirdy. :)

Gorgeous girls with beautiful flowers in the background!

Apparently, now Hannah has a thing for sticking her tongue out for pictures. Good times.

Hannah loved seeing and singing about the temple.

Hannah wanted to see/kick the daffodils up-close.

Hannah begged to sit on one of the "edges," so we finally obliged. She was one happy (and cute) camper.

We had way good times together! Maybe this outing will have to become a family tradition.
