Maelie's 1st tooth

Maelie finally cut her 1st tooth a few days ago. Hannah got her 1st tooth when she was just 4 1/2 months old, so 8+ months seems kind of old to us now. Today I tried to get a picture of Maelie's cute little tooth, but she wasn't having any of it...

Maelie has been a little more sad, drooly, and chompy than usual, but she stills laughs all day long. Little cutie. I'm hoping she gets more teeth soon so that she can eat more solids and just get some teething done all at once.

8 months!

Maelie is 8 months old today! We had a pretty chill day, but I did put her in a cute hand-me-down outfit from my sister Melissa and then did a photo shoot of her. Here are the results...

 Oh, yeah. Hannah HAD to try on the outfit first.

 Yes, the outfit turned into knickers on my big girl.

Bedtime 

We absolutely love Maelie! She is getting so big and acting so old and staying so cute! She's still a mover and a shaker. Maelie rolls, pivots, reaches, scoots backward, occasionally scoots forward, tries to pull herself up on things, and is starting to get up on her hands and knees. I'm sure she will be crawling soon. Maelie continues to adore her sister and laughs at her throughout the day. She is usually quite happy these days, but she gets sad when we leave her sight. Maelie loves music and dancing and seems to stay on beat like Hannah did as a baby. She also loves books, rattles, stuffed animals, and balls, as well as grabbing tags, straps, and my hair. Ouch! Maelie is now eating solids 3 times a day and nursing 4 times a day. She will eat pretty much anything if she isn't too tired. We think Maelie might finally be teething because she hasn't been sleeping through the night as well. One of her clogged tear ducts finally cleared up, but we're still waiting on the other. Maelie already has quite the sense of humor and finds random things so funny. Today she started gut laughing when she got the hiccups. Silly cutie.

Hannah's 1st curlers

Last night we bought Hannah the hair curlers she has been asking for ever since she saw her cousin Katelyn use them last month. And so of course we had to try them out last night as well. I'm sure I could improve my curler-placement skills, but I'm also sure that Hannah looked super cute...
